This, our 7th Annual St. Charles Antique Tool Auction, is shaping up to be a real doozie. We. On Saturday we have some great English, Dutch, Austrian and other Continental tools, and three tool chests from the Mark Lynott collection from Lincoln, Nebraska; more builders levels, transit, plumb bobs and iron bench planes from a private Nacogdoches Texas collection; more great plane parts and Stanley #34 tool catalogs from the Arlet Cassaidy collection in Waterloo, Iowa; Steam Whistles, farm wrenches, and other misc. tools from the Chuck Garrett collection; and a nice Gerstner machinist chest, coopers tools, and tape measures from the Bill Baader collection of Springfield, Ohio. More great Baader tools will be featured in our next seven or eight sales. This is a sale that collectors and dealers alike will want to attend. DO YOU HAVE ANTIQUE TOOLS, ANTIQUE KITCHEN GADGETS, SURVEYING INSTRUMENTS; FARM PRIMITIVES OR RELATED ANTIQUES FOR SALE? CONTACT MIKE@GREATPLANESTRADING.COM ABOUT SCHEDULING AN AUCTION OR ADDING YOUR ITEMS TO AN ALREADY SCHEDULED AUCTION. ALL INQUIRIES WILL BE HELD IN STRICT CONFIDENCE.

A 10 percent buyers premium is charged at all of our sales. We do not like having to charge it, but it has been a standard practice in the specialty auction industry for many years with the bigger houses charging 15 to 20 percent or more. We use the 10 percent we collect to offset the ever-increasing costs associated with putting our sales together. By not having to pass all these costs onto our consigners we are able to attract better consignments and offer competitive rates.
